Line 9 Pipeline and the Grand River

Here I am on the Grand River at the Brantford Conservation Area where Enbridge has set up a mock oil spill cleanup. The yellow boom you see is meant to stop the oil, but Line 9 would transport diluted bitumen from the Alberta tar sands, which is heavier than water and sinks, as it did in the Kalamazoo Michigan spill 3 years ago.
